I want to Win a Photography Class!

I am interrupting my normal Fancy Friday post with a post dedicated to winning a spot at the wonderful Emily of the Startup Wife's photography class next week. I saw her two year anniversary {congrats!} posted yesterday and I knew I had to jump on it!!!!
I received an amazing wedding gift from one of my bridesmaids over Christmas, a new camera! However, I have no idea how to use this shiny new thing and am dying to learn some tips on how to make my photography for the blog, a bit prettier! I have been blogging since 2007 and when I begin my photos were anything but professional. Over the years they have gotten a …..bit, just a little bit better, however, they are by far the quality I want to capture and share! My blog begin as a place to share about my move from DC to Florida, our travels things I loved, recipes, parties and fashion. The blog has grown into a lot of wedding focused events being that I am in the business, getting married and well love it! However, my vision for the blog includes some lovely images of homemade cocktails, images at events {not always captured on my iPhone!} and so much more.
I want my drink pictures to look like the one more on the right then my photo on the left!

I went to one of Emily's workshops at West Elm last month, and found her so easy to ask questions to, sweet and well a true photography professional and FULL Of passion for capturing photos! I would be so excited to spend the day with her next weekend!
I want my event photos to look like more of the images on the right then mine on the left!

At the moment our budget is tight with wedding expenses piling up. We remind ourselves that it is for a  fabulous day, but hey, lets be honest, it gets expensive! I would love to take a photography class, but right now, it is just not in my budget these next few months. However, if I could win Emily's workshop, it would be a great start to help me take some amazing images over the rest of the wedding planning process, Bridal shower in the US and…honeymoon!
I want my images of hostess gifts to look more like the top one then mine on the bottom.
I would LOVE beautiful images like the top more then my cake on the bottom that looks dark.

Learning how to use my camera and photography is on my five year plan, yep, not resolutions, five year plan! I want to share my pretty creations in beautiful images! Wish me luck!

xoxo - Becca
