A Simple Dinner...or a Snack?

Recently my week nights are busier then I imagined. I have networking events for work, research and blog work for the wonderful Floridian Weddings site, making sure my cute puppy Oliver is fed and taken on a nice walk, working out, cleaning, Junior League, social activities, Blog Class, the list goes on. Hey, its life and as I get reminded, it won't slow down. Most nights of the week my Beau works quite late. While I am huge lover of cooking and entertaining, some nights the idea of cooking for one doesn't sound fun at 8:30 at night. This is why I end up eating cheese and crackers, a bowl of soup or my latest love, flavored stove top popped popcorn. Super healthy and delish!

Popcorn Late Night Dinner

I fell in love with all A L'Olivier Oils when I went to the South of France with my bestie Brandi. The basil or the truffle oil are delicious on a simple bowl of popcorn. When Beau and I were in London I made sure to pick some up when I walked by the whole corner of products at Harrods!

A bowl of popcorn and a big glass of wine makes me totally happy for a late night dinner! How about you? What are your snacks you love to eat for dinner?

3...2...1...SMILE!

I am back with a few things that are making me happy and bringing a smile to my day! It has been a busy few weeks but after a gchat (oh google chat, I love you) with a friend this morning it was reminded to me that, really, does it ever slow down! No. I may check one thing off my list but I will just add another one on. I love creating things, dreaming and doing and there will ALWAYS be things on my to do list...accept it. So I thought I would share another three things that I am loving and make me smile today! (check out my three things last time, it is a good way to make you smile)

Pumpkin Angel Food Cake.
WOW! Sounds amazing. I will be making this delicious, semi healthy cake this weekend for sure.

A Bar Cart in my office, sigh. This little pretty cart needs to find its way into my home and some day....my office. I would prefer it full stocked with these pink beverages. Obviously!

DIY Confetti Art inspired by Kate Spade china is oh so pretty and easy to make. I am contemplating making one of these for my house, what do you think?

Wedding Wednesday: Emily Gets Married in the Vineyard!

A couple weeks ago we travelled to Martha's Vineyard for one of my best girlfriends from college wedding. I have mentioned Emily's wedding a few times before here and here and am so excited to finally share with you a few photos from the beautiful weekend. I had never been to the Vineyard and after a quick trip there, I am so ready to go back! What a wonderful beautiful place that Emily and George chose for their wedding!

Beau checking out the many boats as we arrive on the Ferry.

A Vineyard Vine boat, really? Too cute! You must have a bow tie with whales on it and a Labrador puppy to be allowed on board.

On Saturday morning we rented bikes and took a long bike ride along the coast. The views were picturesque! I felt like we were in a movie.

Emily and George got married in a quintessential New England Colonial Church. The church was small, intimate and adorable. How cute does the bride look right after the ceremony. I love that the bubbles made their way into the photos!

I had no doubt that Emily's wedding wouldn't be beautiful. I knew she would have lots of special details throughout. She had been planning by herself for a year and with many Gchat conversations I had with her throughout the day, I couldn't wait to see it all come together. Isn't it pretty!

Our cute pregnant bestey Jenn and her husband in our dinner tent.
Emily has worked in the events business New York City for years. The two of us have always bonded and vented about events, long hours, details, guest lists, etc. It is a love hate relationship we have. Long hours, lots of crazy calls with clients but we love it. That is why I was so excited to see the personalized touches she put into her and George's own event. The G&E table was sweet.

They mixed in long wooden tables throughout the tents to mix up the look of the decor. Em, it was perfect!

Emily and George both love biking and the topper of the cake shows it!

I love love love this idea that they had instead of a guest book. A thumbprint tree. Everyone signed their names and it will look so lovely in their house for the rest of the life!

And here the five of us Alpha Phi girls are with the blushing bride...beautiful!

Congratulations Emily! You were a beautiful bride and the day was amazing! Cheers to you and your new hubby George!

Celebrity Fashionistas: Kohl's

Who knew that Kohl's had some adorable items right now. Who knew that two celebrities were behind the cute items! I will be honest, I am not a big Kohl's shopper. There is not a store right near my house so I tend to see things in magazines and then think, do I really want to drive there? Well, this weekend after seeing some pieces online, I may have to venture out for a thirty minute drive to my nearest Kohl's. Lauren Conrad and Jennifer Lopez have two lines at the department store and I am loving some of the pieces!

Adorable Lauren Conrad, yep, I think she is adorable in her California girl ways. Her line for Kohl's is so girly and affordable, how can you not like it!

This little butterfly shirt and dark jeans, is so sweet, and it is cuter because the shirt is less then $40!

Her jewelry line has these sweet bow bracelets that would look so pretty stacked in layers.

The oh so stylish pleated skirt could be worn with heels or even a tank and flip-flops.
I love the color palette of pinks and nude toned items she has included.

Isn't this such a pretty like pink shirt for bed.

I really love her girly dresses with ruffles!

This bow ring, please send to me soon, it has an empty hand waiting for it right now. Check out her whole line here.

J.Lo has a stylish, glamorous line also! At first when I heard it, I thought, right. Well I have to say that some of the pieces are pretty fabulous. When I saw this spread in Oprah's magazine I really wanted to run out and buy this glittery top.

Would you guess that her top is less then $100? If I had seen this picture and didn't know, I would have guessed her shirt was designer and was maybe, $1,000.

This purse looks expensive. I am interested to see it in person. The quilted leather with the gold strap could be a nice piece for this fall.

At the moment in Florida we still have weather in the high 80's. However, for all of your northeast friends, isn't this trench coat pretty with with the puffy shoulders.

Who knew, Kohl's! I have to plan a trip soon!

Happy Weekend ~ Sunday Reading

Happy Weekend everybody! Well as some of most of you know, we got our little puppy Oliver a few months ago and well...I'm in love. He is kind of my best buddy here in Florida. When Beau is working late at night, on the weekends, Sir Oliver keeps me company! This weekend my little puppy had his "manhood" surgery. Poor guy. I took this picture and had to laugh. His little cone, his cute little face, the Halloween scarf! So between hanging out with my little patient and sitting inside because of the rain, I've been browsing online a lot. Here's what I found reading...enjoy!

I tried out this easy hair tutorial and I'm loving it!

All weekend long it was yucky and today it was pouring. I was inspired to make some soup and was referred to this referred to this Alice Waters recipe. The soup tonight is delis!

Thank you Jordan for sharing these amazing dresses under $40. The red one has my name on it.

I'm looking forward to reading these posts about tablescapes. Who doesn't love a pretty table.

Hi pretty love seat, I would like this in my house.

Lemon salt lemon cupcakes, need I say more? Adding to my must make list!

A Halloween dinner party? I want to have one. I want to send these invites from Laura at Make Merry. I must!

Glittery teaspoons, wow, these would be so sweet to add to my daily cup of Jo in the morning.

An Etsy wedding featured on Style Me Pretty is so lovely filled with Etsy finds! And did you see the oh my gawd amazing post they featured of the inspiration shoot at the New York City Library?

Happy Weekend everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend. Cheers to the week ahead!

Eat Cake for Breakfast: Kate Spade Spring 2012

Yesterday afternoon while browsing around online I saw this image below pop up...oh my! How I must have this bag I thought, Kate Spade? But of course! Kate Spade previewed her Spring 2012 line this week and well, yes, its funny, bright and I would like one of each. Especially this Eat Cake for Breakfast bag!
A tshirt with the cute adorable saying and a hot pink cardigan is so fun.

How about this cute little skirt outfit for a day out in Palm Beach?

Party dress! Hmmm, where do I have to go this Spring that I could have an excuse to wear this?

Love the bag! Kind of what I'm feeling today!

This green dress is for sure one of my favorites from the collection.

A striped skirt and an orange clutch would be perfect for a day out in sunny Florida.

The lineup of the Kate Spade ladies.

And the event was styled but the always adorable Brad Goreski below with the Kate Spade creative director, Deborah Llyod. He even has a cute Kate bow tie!

Can't wait to the Spring! xoxo~Becca

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

After hearing the sad news last about Steve Jobs I was so inspired by his amazing work and the way he lived his life when I re read his commencement speech he gave for Stanford in 2005....

“You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.”

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Stewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish."

Thank you Steve Jobs for inspiring millions of us in many ways! I'm looking to find what I love.

1..2..3...SMILE

I woke up today on the wrong side of the bed. I slept late for my run, I was running behind, I felt blah. Half way through the day I better...snap out of this mood I'm in and get excited! I am 30 and ready to conquer my life! Ready to smile! I thought this new series of posts of three items that I fancy and make me smile might be fun to share!

How cute is this print! Now where can I find it to wake up to every day!

I am so in love with this pink door. Could this be the door to my office some day?

I am wearing this Butter pink sparkly polish today and honestly, it is so cute and happy!
