David's Bridal UK

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to attend the press preview of David's Bridal UK new line for Spring/Summer 2014. I have to be honest and upfront, David's Bridal is a US brand, and while living in the States, I had really never thought of purchasing my dress at David's Bridal. I had been to only one David's Bridal store and it was kind of dated and not a really lovely experience. When I heard that David's Bridal had opened in the UK and had seen their new marketing and that they were reaching out to more stylish brides to be, I became intrigued and wanted to see what
it was all about. I am glad I did!
The event was held at the lovely Somerset House in the Portico Rooms. Somerset House is a major arts and cultural centre in the heart of London and hosts some beautiful events, you can even host your wedding there!
I fell in love with the welcome table of bottle green PINK tonic water flavored in pomegranate & elderflower . Not only are the bottles adorable with a stripy straw but they are also delicious. I want to add these on to every girls night get together I plan for the future, and also so perfect to add to a bridal shower bar.
The rooms were filled with the most recent designs from the collections they carry at the newly opened Westfield location. They had dressed from their own David's Bridal range, Galina, Melissa Sweet, Vera Wang WHITE, Zac Posen and Oleg Cassini. I was pleasantly surprised that the dresses were actually quite lovely and can now say it, cheesy, as I remembered. There were some really stylish and beautiful wedding gowns that they were showing and the amazing thing was, most of the dresses were under £1,200!
I was really impressed by these two Oleg Cassini for David's Bridal dresses above. The full blush dress with embroidery and tulle may have been on my wedding dress list if I had seen it before. The pink high to low strapless gown was also a winner in my book! Below are some images of the dresses embroidery up close.
Pinstripes and Peonies florist provided lovely small sets of flowers through out the Somerset House Portico Room's. I would highly recommend adding them to your list of potential florists to look into when planning your big day.
The featured dresses at the show were from Zac Posen's new collaboration with David's Bridal. If you are a trendy and stylish bride looking for something a little different, non traditional, a little more runway, you should check out these dresses. Zac's new line of wedding gowns ranged from £725 -£1295.
This hot little number below looks like an Oscar gown!
If you are looking for something to wear to a black tie event, you can pick up this dress for £195!
Mini sliders, may not be the wedding diet, but who can resist!
My favorite little dresses that were featured were, hands down, Vera Wang's WHITE collection bridesmaids dresses VW360156, £160. The lace dress has pockets {eeekkk! love!!!} and comes in five different colors. I am contemplating how I can get the blush colored dress for a rehearsal dinner!
The blush bow dress below, I mean seriously,  it has my name on it right! Brides to be, this dress is lovely! The dress would be lovely to wear to a ball as well, I mean, if you have a ball to attend.
The dress below is fit for a princess, I swear. The bow details and the awesome train looked like something Cinderella could wear at the stroke of midnight, really lovely!
Pink ruffles and ruffles, and more ruffles.
I left Somerset House that evening really liking the David's Bridal brand more then I had ever really thought of it. I left really thinking, well, there were some LOVELY gowns that I would certainly recommend to brides to be! Ready for a fun day out, bring your girlfriends to Westfield and check out the new Vera and Zac Posen collection along with many other brands, you may just be surprised yourself.
You can see the entire David's Bridal collection for the UK over HERE. The company is changing and turning away from the "dated" feel that I remember, it felt quite stylish and pretty! Brides to be, stop by and let me know what you think.

  1. My sister shared with me that Vera Wang White Bridesmaid Dresses are long-lasting products of high quality, which also give assurance of their valued image so I just bought Vera Wang dress from there which is really stunning with soft fabric. I loved it!!
