Hey Florida Girls! Looking for a fun way to get together with girlfriends this weekend. Instead of meeting out for drinks I signed up for this event in South Beach with a few girlfriends this Saturday. Shape magazine and the swanky gym Equinox are sponsoring a fun "Bikini Body" day on South Beach. Hey, probably won't leave looking like I belong walking around in my bikini on Ocean Drive, but I'm sure there will be a fun swag bag and a fun reason to workout and get together with friends.

Bridesmaids & Blazers

I went to the movies this weekend and saw Bridesmaids, hysterical! Kristin Wiig was a riot as the maid of honor. I hadn't laughed that much in awhile. The wedding dress fitting, the bridal shower, Wilson Phillips, yep, go see it!

Not only was it a cute movie but also Kristin Wiig had the best wardrobe, she was always rockin a cute blazer. Some how in the middle of her character's life break down, she managed to always look adorable in a simple mini dress, heels and a fitted blazer.

I put together a few blazer outfits that I would like to add to my closet. A couple of new blazers and you almost have a new wardrobe! Happy Shopping!

Weekend Thoughts

I hope everybody is having a fabulous three day weekend! I have spent the weekend being lazy, going to the beach, going to the movies, catching up on blogs and having a fun photo shoot yesterday for an upcoming project! Fun Fun Fun! The Flynn Skirt

I stumbled upon Anne M. Cramer's site and immediately fell in love with the Flynn! How classic and adorable is this striped Flynn. The happy photos that they shot with each different color of the skirt make me so happy. How could you have a bad day wearing this sunny yellow number below? I am considering purchasing one for my trip abroad next month. I picture myself wandering around Portobello Market, browsing the quaint stores while dressed in my Flynn. Ooooo, great find!

Wedding Wednesday - the Engagement

This morning on my way into the office I popped into what is now my new favorite find in Fort Lauderdale, Croissan 'Time. I had driven by this place quite a few times over the last year and thought, "oh, just some little strip mall cafe, not true French." Wrong I was! One of my running friends recommended it to me and after a long training run this winter, I stopped there on my way home and as I stepped into the door I was in love. The staff speaks French, the counter is lined with freshly baked pastries, croissants, quiche, brioche, all beautiful deliciousness. Now it is my go to for out of town guests, a Saturday morning treat. I picked some croissants and pain au chocolate up to bring with us to the Keys this weekend for Beau's mothers birthday breakfast by the pool. If you live in Fort Lauderdale, try it out, you will be in love!

Not the Lands End I knew!

WOW, where have I been! How did I miss Lands End and their awesome new Canvas line!?!?! Well, I have discovered it and now love it! I feel like I am on a bit of a nautical kick. I have so many striped clothing items recently that I am drooling over. Maybe it was my recent trip to Boston, the October trip to Martha's Vineyard or living so close to the ocean that has made me want to wear seersucker and sailor shirts. Whatever the case is, I am in LOVE with Lands End Canvas line.

This is not the catalog I remember as a child. Way to go Lands End with making it stylish and simple for a new generation! Thank you!

Wedding Wednesday - gifts for the soon to be Mrs.

I think it is fun to buy brides a fun gift at their shower, not something off of their registry, just a little surprise! I have a few showers to attend this Summer and these items are certainly on my list of ideas.
